Our last PTO meeting of the school year will be on Tuesday, May 16. In addition to electing new officers for next year, we will have the opportunity to hear from Mary McIntyre, a candidate for the Rio District of the School Board.
Parents, guardians, grandparents are encouraged to attend. We hope you can join us for this information-packed meeting! We will meet at 6:30pm in the school library; meetings generally don’t last longer than one hour.
All parents and grandparents are invited to join us for the April PTO meeting. It will take place on Tuesday, April 11 from 6:15-6:45pm. There is a music concert at 7:00; if your children are performing, you will still be able to go to the concert.

We are currently planning for next year, and would love to have volunteers for PTO Board positions as well as other activities (Fall Festival, Playground Committee, International Night, Book Fair, etc.). Thank you to all the families who came out for the Zoe’s Kitchen fundraiser night! The kids really enjoyed seeing their friends and teachers out on the town.

November 2016 Meeting Minutes
All parents/guardians and staff are encouraged to attend the PTO meeting on October 4. This will be a special meeting, with the first half hour devoted to PTO business, and the second half devoted to information about the possible Woodbrook expansion and the Bond Referendum. A representative from ACPS and a representative from the School Board will attend to provide information and answer questions. We hope to see you there!

We had a great PTO meeting on September 14; thank you to all the parents and teachers who attended! You can see the meeting minutes here.
-A budget for 2016-2017 was proposed and passed.
-Some great new ideas for this year were suggested! Many of them can be implemented, as long as we have a few parent volunteers to make them happen.
-There is a bond referendum on the ballot in November that affects all schools in the County. Please educate yourself so that you can make an informed decision on how to vote.
-We are forming a committee to draw up plans for a new playground near the 2nd/3rd grade wing. We need some parents, teachers, and students to help out with this! Contact us to volunteer.
-The PTO values YOUR ideas and would like to hear your suggestions for projects/goals for this year. E-mail us or come to the next PTO meeting to share your ideas!
-A representative from ACPS will attend the next PTO meeting (October 4) to discuss the plans for the Woodbrook addition.
