Non-5th Grade Parents…

The fifth grade teachers need volunteers to set up, serve refreshments, and clean up at Graduation.  Set up needs to be done before refreshments arrive. We need servers for pizza, drinks, and cupcakes. Clean up will begin promptly at 8:30 p.m. If anyone is interested in volunteering for this event and is does not have a student graduating, contact Mrs. Brooks-Davis at  cbrooks2@k12albemarle.org

And the winners are…

Congratulations to Amelia Scheer and Katie Elise Pulliam, who were the 1st and 2nd place winners of the Spring Box Tops Contest.  Amelia, who submitted 272 box tops this semester will have the honor of being Assistant Principal for a half-day.  Katie, who submitted 199 box tops, will don the whistle as Assistant P.E. Coach for a half-day.   Thanks to both students, who collectively submitted over 700 box tops this school year.

Together, we collected over $1,500 in box tops this year and hope to build on that momentum next year, when we’ll have more exciting contests and prizes.  So, please continue to collect those box tops over the summer.  (If you collect a significant number (25+) that will expire before September, please contact the PTO President or you may email the box top coordinator through the BTFE website – once you’ve registered.)

Volunteering to help with graduation ceremonies

Parents of Kindergarteners through 4th Graders…

If you have a K through 4th grader, please help us get ready for graduation. We want the 5th grade families to be able to savor this time, without being asked for help. Those of us who have younger kids can help out, and someday it will be our turn! Here are two ways you can help:

5th Grade Graduation Dance

The 5th Grade Graduation Dance is scheduled for May 29, 7:00-8:30pm. Volunteers are needed for set-up, during the event, and clean-up. If you can help, please see our Sign Up Genius or e-mail agnorhurtpto@gmail.com.
