Easy Volunteer Jobs Available!

The PTO is looking for some volunteers to send out Sponsorship Letter Requests for next year’s 2019 Fall Festival! We have the letter updated and ready to go so all you need to do is identify some businesses you think would be perfect to sponsor our event, email or snail mail the letter, and then follow up to get a commitment from them. You can do this from the comfort of your own couch, dressed in pjs, while eating an ice cream sundae, and watching TV! Easy peasy. Email us at agnorhurtpto@gmail.comto volunteer or ask questions.

Planning for Next Year!

All-Call for Ideas and Volunteers

Although we are still in full-swing with school year activities, the PTO is also looking ahead to next year.  It’s not too early to start making plans for Fall Festival!  Do you know of a great food truck that we should reserve in advance?  Do you own a business and want to make a donation?  Have an idea for new games?  Want to help run the silent auction?

And now is a great time to think about new projects.  We had such a great time working on the staff lounge;  do you have ideas for other spaces at our school that can use an update?  Is there another project that you’d love to see to benefit our teachers or students?

The PTO is looking for a new Communication Chair, Volunteer Coordinator, Parent Council Representative, and ESOL Representative for the 2018-2019 school year.  We are also looking for someone to help update/upgrade the PTO website.  Can you help with one of those roles?

Please send in your ideas to agnorhurtpto@gmail.com, and feel free to attend a PTO meeting if you want to ask questions or hear other ideas.  The next meeting is Tuesday, April 24 at 7:00pm.

Fall Festival is Coming!

Although it seems that school just started, Fall Festival is right around the corner!  The event is on Saturday, October 28 from 4-7pm, and it is SOOOO much fun for kids and grown-ups alike!  Please help us have a successful event by signing up to help.  If every parent signs up for just one shift, we will have plenty of volunteers to make the event  a success.  Thank you!

Fall Festival 2017

Fall Festival is our largest Fundraiser of the school year and we are excited to continue this tradition while also bringing some new elements to the festival this year!  Did you know that some of our Fall Festival preparations are already underway?!  Yes, it’s true.  How can I help, you ask?  We are looking for individuals to coordinate Food, Silent Auction, and Children’s Auction events.  Have ideas for other ways to support us?  We are all ears and want to know how you’d like to jump in on Fall Festival planning and preparation.  Email us as agnorhurtpto@gmail.com and let’s start chatting!

Fall Festival – November 4!

Our Fall Festival will be held on Friday, November 4th 5:30pm-8:00pm (food will be available at 5:30; games and activities begin at 6:00).

We have a great committee assembled to help make this a great event.  To make the Fall Festival successful requires a lot of volunteers.  A flyer will be coming home with your child outlining the areas in which you can help.   If you are able to assist, please return the flyer to school.   You may also view and sign up for a specific area at our online sign up.
Please contact Rachael Boston at rachaelboston@yahoo.com or agnorhurtpto@gmail.com for any questions.

Fall Festival Planning is Underway!

It’s summer, so it must be time to start planning the Fall Festival!  This is one of our biggest fundraisers, and also one of the most fun events that we do at Agnor-Hurt.  We are putting together our teams now, so that we can hit the ground running when school starts.  Please consider signing up for one of our teams!  We have broken down the Festival into these categories:  silent auction/raffle; tickets/order forms/publicity; food; and games.  You can sign up on our Sign Up Genius.  Many hands make light work – the more volunteers we have, the less work for each.  Thank you so much!
